Gear changes
« on: 14 November 2010, 22:09:54 »

Out today in the car going to Leominster and the gears were going up and down like a pair of whores draws on a climb up from forth down to third back to forth then third then second back to forth then third etc etc you get the idea but have it's never been like that before.
Any clues please

I have that sometimes when i have been driving around the stafforshire moorlands. Depending on the speed your doing and the rpm it will changed between 2 gears. When it levels out its fine. Sport mode works well on a steeper incline as it holds it in gear for longer.

It used to be ok on a hill it would kick it's self down 1 poss 2 gears but not change back to top gear until it leveled out but at the mo it just doesn't know what gear it wants >:(

If its behaviour has changed recently, I'd change ATF first - the updated softwar emay mask a lurking issue :y
