Hi guys,
I become the proud owner of a 2002 Omega which I have always wanted! She has only covered 30k!!! with a genuine service & vosa mot history, but was a little tatty as the previous old boy owner was trying to squeeze her into a garage almost half the size every time he took her out for a local shop!
Im aware she has not got the best sized engine for her size, but she was a bargain as i bought her for £600!!!!
With the bodywork almost rectified by some very patient friends who dont charge the earth & just recently sticking some nice black leather interiors inside she has decided to develop a few weird engine/gearbox characterists!!!!!
Here we go........
When she is cold, Between the speeds of 25 to 30 mph a slight rumble develops (the engine doesnt hesitate) could it be gearbox related??
and recently, a slight rumble/vibration between 50 to 55 mph, both of these faults disappear after 2 or 3 minutes!!! But they dont appear to be normal!!!
Any advice from all you experts??
If any, im aware she does need to have a cambelt change as she is now 8 years old and has just done over 30k, the previous owner cannot recall a belt change since he had her from new and it is not logged in the service history book.
Your advice would be appreciated guys (if anyone can recommend a really good value for money vauxhall specialist garage near or around the Black Country please holla back)
