Water Pumps & Belt Part No's...
« on: 09 February 2011, 12:42:23 »

Afternoon all....

I'm curious about the water pump on the V6, i'm sure i recall either on here or word of mouth that the impeller blade had been redesigned? i.e. has more blades than the OE item?  Or was it that the impeller blade is now made of metal or was it plastic?  Confused? I am!  Do they only supply the better of the two now?

I'm off to the cambelt meet at the end of the month and want to double check the part numbers I've looked up myself that their correct before i go off to my Vx dealer.

Aux belt: 93181720
Cambelt & Tensioner Kit: 93172354
Water Pump: 93170697
Water Pump Seal: 90354908

I couldn't find the correct aux belt for a car with air con, so i'm guessing all the omegas have it and they don't supply one for cars without?  :-?

All ok otherwise?  :-X

Cheers!

Would you recommend Vx for the parts or would me getting them from someone such as www.vauxhallworldparts.com be ok?

Try local motor factors for Contitech, Gates or SKF. Make sure you get the right bottom tensioner I think later models have the non-adjustable on the bottom. Might be wrong though :D
