James's Omega Project 2008/1
« on: 22 January 2008, 18:24:23 »

Depite the fact that I keep saying "no more"...

I have just secured my first Omega project for 2008. It's going to involve a LOT of engine work, but I think it's worth it.

Should be collecting this weekend, no more details until then... other than to say it is beautiful, and will be very nice when finished. I'm doing this because it's an estate, and I need one... (not a money maker)...

Please

When I've got it home, I'll give out more info + pics, and a report on my diagnosis.

Until then, the only other info is,

I will soon start preparing some new V6 heads, with new stem seals and re-lapping valves.

And no, it's not a cambelt failure :P

I should have a garage to store this in, so it's not a "rush" job..

Are you going to be dual-fuelling this one?

After the engine rebuild (and I mean rebuild!) if all is sweet, I will be very seriously considering gassing it, with some more assitance from good friend K Wood :)  :-*

Steady on!  :o

But yes, another LPG project will be no problem when it runs on petrol.

Maybe I'll encourage you with Stella instead, then  ::)

Btw, it WILL run on petrol once I put the heads back on  :)
