How low is my car?
« on: 06 March 2011, 19:53:34 »

Hello folks, wondering if anyone could hazard a guess at how low my car is. I do like the look of a lowered Omega but this is a but much. The ride is uncomfortable.

Steering is perfect but there is about a half inch of each mud flap missing. She's no good on back roads and speed ramps (which my town is full of). There are lowering springs in it. How many milimeters would i need to go where she looks nice but dont have the issue of her smacking the ground at every speed ramp?

I have an Elite with LSC (lowered sports chassis) which I assume is the same as the MV6.

On level ground, from the floor to the wheel arch, through the centre of the wheel, mine sits at 66cm at the rear and 64cm at the front and she rides and handles wonderfully. Should say that I've just had new standard shocks fitted to the rear.

MIGHT be worth pointing out that mine looked EXACTLY like yours a short while ago at the rear. The old shocks needed a change BUT they were working ok in general.

What made mine as low as yours turned out to be a busted spring.
