found this pipe loose in my 2.5TD engine bay??
« on: 08 March 2011, 17:43:43 »

This is an image of the left hand side of the engine (Off side if facing forwards  :-/)

Its a loose pipe, cant find anything its supposed to connect to, and its just flailing about.
It LOOKS like it should be connected to some kind of vacuum system, similar to the one that cam off my old rover's wastegate or EGR valve actuator?

this the right lines?
 thanks

It should attach to the underside of the spiggot coming off the pale blue valve, in the centre of the photo below.   :y

In the image below you can just about see the thicker 'right angled' rubber end, just in front of the pale blue valve.

Given the location and the length, I'd say HBV

Hmm difficult call, but if it is off connector your brakes will not be a full effiency, try pumping brake pedal with engine off bet you only get one pump before its solid!!!

Reference the previous images, this angle shows the connection point. :y
(The camera flash has 'bleached out' the pale blue of the valve)
