cruise control

hi,i have a v6 2.5 on a x plate and have just fitted a cruise control stalk and box and cable under the bonnet.does any 1 know how to activate it.or do i need other parts...regardes,

Did you check that your brake switch is a 4-pin one (and if manual will need clutch switch also)

Look at the brakeswitch, it needs to look like this if it`s a 4-pin

Was the switch itself 4 pin? You need to unplug it to check it.

How many wires did the stalk have on its fly-lead?

Back on topic, ensure its the 4 wire stalk, and flying lead plugged in.

Also, check bowden cable is free to move, and properly attached to throttle
