Cam locking/Timing tool wanted.
« on: 17 March 2011, 15:12:20 »

About to do my V6 cambelt and would like to borrow a cam timing tool. Anyone have one available? Obviously need to discuss postage/ deposit etc.
Other option would be to buy one. The Laser kit is available from Halfords for about £65 (post free) but i've read a few posts saying this kit did have problems. Would a new kit be sorted now?
Does anyone here use a Laser kit and find it OK.
I want to do the belt soon as, so can't really afford the time for a better make tool to come available on ebay.

Graham.

See link below if any of the advice is of help to you as well.  I've just put an order in for a VSE130 kit from my local Sealey agent and got it cheaper than sealey themselves  ::) .

Depends on how quick and how much you want to spend really.  Otherwise you could always pm one of the OOF mechanics to see how much it'll cost you (damn sight lot cheaper than a garage/dealer would quote you I'm sure).

Hope that's of help?  :y
