Does it blow with Eco on? Also imagine compressor has a relay, ratherthan direct drive from climate panel

Did not try it with Eco, just kept flicking between Auto & Off while running on both fuels.

Is there a relay I can pull in the engine bay just for the compressor?

Could the pressure in the air-con be just at the level or below the compressor needs, and it keeps attemping to turn on? Hence it appears to be a bit random?  :-/

Ok, thats not it  :(

Removed the relay, started, climate set to Auto & Eco.

Ran ok, clicked over to LPG fine.

Door open fully, went to grab it, started to close it a fraction, heard a click and it cut out.  :-?

Too many times its done that, earlier on, mother T jumped in, I then got in to drive, went to grab the door, and again go to close the door it cuts out  :o  :-?

Bulb is removed in the door, but its not getting anywhere near close enough to press the button in the frame  :-/

Its not the earth, this looks like it to me?

Checked that was done up, as a couple of times, getting in the car, made it cut out  :-? was wondering if somehow that was loose. Its all ok, bounced far around again all ok. Then cut out again without me doing anything. Climate was on and set to Eco....

Looks like the fat man is right again, annoyingly! Fan speed controller? - Scuttle never been blocked (least in my ownership) - But, when washing it yesterday, I did stick the hose down the scuttle drain, pollen area and give it a damn good blast with the hose to make sure its clear. Always used to do that when giving it a good clean  :(  :-/

I've checked the book of b0lox for a fan controller fuse/relay, multiple references to air-con blower and heater control unit.

Is there a single fuse/relay for the fan controller?

Yes, its never blown/cut out when I am not sat in the car. Infact I left it idling for about 15 minutes while I helped next door with their Pug 106....

Mines a poverty spec, so no leccy seats, unless your thinking bum warmer? (i never use them)

ok, now this is getting very, very odd! I now think its the earth to the car.Disconnected the Compressor.

Started the car, with the door open, within a few seconds, the fuse blew but the car kepts running, it was miss-firing, with the brake light & battery light flashing in turn :-?  :-/

Popped a new fuse in, started, same happend.

So began to think was it related to LPG? Turned that off, started, all ok. Start messing with the climate control, Auto to Off over a dozen times, all is good! Got it me thinks, so went inside house (engine running) grab my wallet (mother T  ::)  ;D) - As the petrol light was on  ::)

Get climb in, go to close the door and, bang, it cuts out again! This time (while on petrol) it did not miss-fire, but dash lights, rev couter ect all gone. But climate, radio, door lights still have power.

So not LPG me things, put it back on LPG, engine idling, again mess around with climate fan controls, all ok. Then few minutes later of just idling, just as I go to grab the door again!

I did wash the door sills, wondered of possibly the light in the door could cause it? Popped it out anyway, still cut out!

So bit stumped.... thinking earth to the car (as only thing thats changed is I washed the bloody thing!)

Where is the earth in the engine bay?

Get yourself some 25mm cable, a long spike and a hammer then.

It wont make any odds but, you will at least have an earth on the car.  ;D

Does not sound ground related to me, you need to find where you got water to that you shouldn't.

I'm wondering if the washing of the car was just bad timing, going on Robs suggestion above, I checked the wiring to the heated seat. I could see where it would rub, but nothing stood out (as in bare wires)

I pulled fuse 14 in the cabin, hoping that might disable it, as fuse diagram suggests its linked to 15?

Still did it, but I was seated at the time.

So got out, put another new fuse in about my 15th  ;D - Engine idling, i stood on the sill, then with my foot, I bounced up and down on the edge of the seat. When I got to the middle, it cut out! Just where the heated seat wiring is.....

Now as I mentioned above, nothing clear stood out that could be causing the short. What if.... (tunnie bodge warning.....) I just cut both of the black wires which go into the bottom of the seat? - Tie them up, insulate them and put them out of the way....

Even in our ultra cold winter, I find I never use bum warmers on cloth seats.....

Sounds like the problem....disable the heater with a "Tunnie Bodge"
