sport button problem
« on: 27 March 2011, 20:07:51 »

Think i have a problem with the sport button on gear stick. It would not click the other day and took alot of wiggling to get it on and off. Now it seems to have started clicking in again. Is the switch easy to access???? thankyou

No - if you remove the gaitor and desolder the lead where it solders under console, you stand a fighting chance. Not sure how the switch detaches from the lever though.

That's probably the microswitches that need replacing. There is a how to guide in the main section. Make sure you can solder and have the correct tools etc. before attempting the job  :y

I did mine a couple of weeks ago.

Never let a mechanic near anything electrical. Electrics are a black art to most 'mechanics'
