Oil in Water???
« on: 27 April 2011, 23:45:06 »

Just dipped an old rag in the expansion bottle and there seems to be a residue which has copper grease in it.

Any ideas?

has anyone used a can of K seal in the system to stop a leak as that leaves a coppery residue in the coolant

could be, I really don't want to go to the expense of an oil cooler just yet, would it be an idea to give the cooling system a good thorough flushing add new anti freeze and a bottle of K Seal and see how I go?

I would give it a flush and new coolant but don't add anything else to it or you won't know if there's a leak that you are covering up :y

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE,nasty stuff does more harm than good. Do the oil cooler as when it does let go you wil have whole lot of crap to flush and that is not a 5 min fix. :o

flush it, but dont stick k-seal in

If it becomes slightly oily, stop, and dont drive until oil cooler is replaced
