« on: 02 May 2011, 22:03:02 »

hey, I have an omega td. which does not start when it is hot!
It starts when it is cold, but if it is warm it starts not at all!
Has changed, fuel pump, glow plugs and feed pump, but still have the same probemet.
Does anyone have any answer for this??

The hot start fault is common on these engines and its the same with the range rover P38/bmw 525.
pouring ice cold water over the fuel pump when hot will clarify this ( it should fire up straight away).
you can buy a kit that tells the ecu to turn on the glowplugs every start and this fools the ecu to give extra fuel to the injectors.
If a brand new fuel pump was fitted it would be ok so I suspect you fitted a second hand untested injector pump.

yes that's right, I took it from another car I have. but there was no difference.
Do you think there may be an electrical fault?

IIRC, it is a blockage that occurs somewhere in the pump...

As said, there is a kit that makes the ecu believe that the engine is cold for a few seconds and enables an easy start...

This is the kit you need...

It is an electrical fault there is two ways to fix it, the hot start fix as the link in the above post or the more expensive new fuel pump (£1500+vat) :y
