Might be the engine ECU cooling fan tucked up inside the passenger wing where it meets the door
Any further info Rob?
I'll see if I have a pic of the one from goldie.  Basically, its behind//above the NSF wheel, behind liner. Not a million miles from the side indicator.

Having changed the cam belt, I'm almost 100% sure it was indeed the cam belt and wheels making the noise. It's still there but since fitting at the weekend it's much quieter and now totally consistent, the random barbling has gone.

The old cam belt tensioner was loose to the bottom edge of the marker block and the run from cam wheel 2 to the top adjustable roller had alot of slack at rest, so the tension was looser still than the tensioner was showing. Off the bottom of the marker block I would think?

Glad I changed it.  :y

Maybe. Don't think it was the original so fairly sure it had been changed, as the receipt. Not over due either.

I'm a happy bunny now though, all done ...... and on LPG. Aaaah, no more petrol prices.  [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]
