Symptoms vary. Misfire on two cylinders. Runs OK on light throttle but misfires when you put your foot down. Misfire at 50 mph.

Cost to replace.? I have seen them for sale S/H for as little as £30. Plus a little bit of spanner work.

Have you removed it & looked at it yet? The coils rust & make a bid for freedom through the plastic casing.  :y :y

I had it all apart yesterday and replaced the HBV (coolant leak but I suspect the oil cooler, its just that the HBV was exposed and is cheap to replace)and crank sensor, cleaned the breathers and renewed the fuel filter. I didn't think about the Dis Pack at the time.
Took me six hours and I couldn't face doing all that again today so I thought I'd just check if the dis pack could be the source of my misfire before having another go at it.

My one doesn't run OK at light throttle, it doesn't really want to go at all. Putting your foot down at 30 mph, nothing happens, no kick down, just gradually (barely) accelerates. Stutters all through the rev range particularly up hills.

What do DIS Packs cost new from VX with TC?

like with like. Some have an oval connector, others are rectangular. Since the TC website revamp it comes up with loads of part numbers instead of just the one. It used to be quite straight forward ........  your dealer should know, if not Andy Clears will  ;)  ;)
