They're funny things aren't they, crank sensors? Mine used to let me start the car from cold and then I was able to use the car all day as long as i didn't switch it off. If I did, I couldn't start it again until the engine was completely cold! Not great when you're on holiday in weymouth and you've got to use the car all week and then risk the drive home  ::)

That was an 'experience'  :)
