creaky door card
« on: 29 July 2011, 17:38:15 »

hi as above really,my pass door card on facelift is a bit away from the door at the top bit near lock plunger, and i see doesnt have a way of securing it closer to door frame like pre facelifts have self tappers all round, does it need bonding with a strong adhesive? creaking is driving me mad!!

the corner your talking about iirc doubt has any clips. if you have time open the door, put it back on snug fit and should fingers x go away. had this problem with driver door, no matter how much you bang/push it, still wasnt going into the right place..  :y

Top fixing of the panel is via a plastic edge which is bonded into the foam backing of the panel when manufactured. Removal and refitting over the years has caused this plastic edge to become detached and needs rebonding once panel removed. Should fix the problem, must do it with my drivers side sometime soon......
