Irmscher 'double D' exhaust - performance or style
« on: 04 August 2011, 03:52:39 »

Is the double d / split oval irmescher back box a genuine 'performance' item (i.e. free-er flowing than std) or really just for show?

Are there better options i.e Remus?

Got one on mine and can't say it is any faster but looks better, sounds fantastic on a V6 and will never rust with it being stainless steel.  I got mine for £40 but the new cost of either Irmscher or remus could prob get you a full custom stainless system fitted

I bought an Irmy rear box 4 years ago and paid £200 for it, had it on 2 omegas now and it still looks like brand new.  Sadly my omega is on the bay of E now and it will go with the car :(

Is it ALL really stainless? I can see the tail pipes are but the rest of the construction looks mild or aluminiumised at best?? Granted, the construction is probably on a par with the otiginal vx items
