thats where i was headed, but if your saying it didnt open, then dont see the immob going awol, and still should be in there?? but have a look and see incase the chip is loose inside the fob..

My understanding of Vauxhalls from this era is that if the immobilizer can't find the chip from the keyfob then it will flash the e.m.l.

Do Omega's not do this?

Yes - no need to dismantle key unless eml flashing when trying to start.

As others - change crank sensor for a new genuine Vx one :y
