Wanting your input guys regarding misfire
« on: 20 August 2011, 10:55:56 »

Hi guys well I took the car out wednesday night and it ran fine until I was on my way home (in the pouring rain)and it felt like it was "hesitating" I put it down to the grip on the very wet steep road.Anyway my hubby moved it off the driveway yesterday and came in asking if I had noticed anything wrong, I told him what it had felt like and he said its got a massive misfire and was running like a bag of spanners!!!!! He thought he would try an easy fix first (plugs) hes just taken one out and its covered in oil...We are guessing now its more than likely to be the cam covers?? Hes done this job before on our old Omega but it didnt cure the bad oil leak it had. This one hasn't leaked oil at all until we did notice a few spots in the driveway for the first time the other day!!!

Cam covers leaking, might have buggered the HT leads too.  Dont forget to clean the breathers while you are at it :y

We thought the leads would need replacing too although at £232 from Vauxhall with a trade card I dont think we will be buying them from there :( Thanks for the heads up on the breathers too ;)
