my radio broke down - cant switch on!! :(

Need help, yesterday on my way back my radio gone off. So while driving I switched it off, then tried to switch it on again, but it never happend again.. Main round switch is illuminated, but nothing happend when Im pressing it. Will check whats my radio model, but thats the Philips factory fitted one with 6CD changer..

And can I easily upgrade (and keep current CD changer) to CCR600 / 800?

I don't think the old changer will work with CCR6/800, you will need a Blaupunkt CDC2 to work correctly. Even then I'm not 100% that the changer cable is the same.

Check the fuse on the rear of the radio, the illumination feed is powered by a seperate circuit to the main unit which is in effect double fused.

see here for connector info which might help you answer your CDC question.

Thanks, that very helpful!

After i removed it yesterday and checked fuse I found out that it was OK.. And (dont ask me how) it is working again. But I still think I will put normal faceoff stereo, as that CD changer is so slooooowww.. After ignition on >off I need to wait bout 60-100secs to hear sound again.. :) Or just chose different CD instead :)
