Does that mean that the original planning use was unadopted though? As that is the original information that would have been sent to the mapping companies - for some strange reason, they do not keep up to date with the change of use from unadopted to adopted and blame the councils for lack of communications. If its a small road, and nobody has complained or mentioned it, it may just go un-noticed.

Incidentally, if you advise the mapping compnies of an error or a "missed" road, they are usually very thorough in investigating it

It was always planned to be adopted, but council won't actually take it on until the builders have finished doing the final surface and pavements.
