is it possible to fit the climate control fascia from a 96 or 97 Omega to my 95 cdx?  It already has the dual zone heater/aircon controls.

Possible but would be a dash out job I guess to change the the heater box and would also depend if your car had the wiring in to start with,

The wood / carbon trim can be changed to a none climate easy enough, needs a little triming though.

If I were to take the console away if it has the multiplug then i'm good to go or is there more to it than that?

The reason I asked the question is that it came out in 1996, mine's a 95, and I cant see a mfr making that many changes to a models guts until facelift / partial facelift time.

I have a spare climate control unit in my garage I can take some photo's tomorrow so that you can see the connections on the back etc

Presumably your 95 CDX doesn't have climate?

Whilst nothing is impossible, upgrading from rotary heating controls to climate is pretty close.

You also have to remember that the electronic climate control is/should be fully automated ie when the interior of the car is at .... eg 20 deg the HBV etc all then open/close to maintain that set temp.
With your rotary controls YOU decide that you are warm/cold enough & move the controls to suit.
Just buy another car with ECC .... you know it makes sense!

Both types are vac operated.

You'll be missing a difficult to fit loom, loads of sensors, centre console is different, I think the dash is different (due to different mounting of the centre console).  Would be a mare of a job.

lol! after the amount of s**t I went to getting the engine sorted !?! you got to be having a giraffe!

I can't afford to buy another similar car and do all that again, i'd rather restore this one, get to know the car, and then spend decent money on a decent newer example with ALL the toys
