Headlamp Beam flattening lever
« on: 18 December 2008, 10:29:34 »

Hi, finally after weeks of not getting the time, I have finally fitted my projector headlamps which I sourced from a gent on this 'ere forum.

They got polished up to remove the nicotine staining, and crap on the front and are now back up to as new finish.

They've got fresh bulbs all round - Osram Nightbreakers, which seem to do the job, and were going for a song on the fleabay.

My question is this, the beam flattenning lever for continental driving, should it be in the up or the down position for normal use?

I've checked my manuals and there's no mention of it, as my original lamps didn't have such luxury aids!

Also, the levelling motors are attached, but the main lens parabola moulding flops around like a spaniels' ears.   :-?

Next week i'll pop into my friendly MOT bod, and get them set. Till then, All help greatfully appreciated.
