Dash Clock swap
« on: 24 February 2009, 20:42:10 »

The car is a 3.2 Auto 2003MY, the replacement clocks have the P/N 09 228 419AS which EPC informs me is 'for Vauxhall, X25XE, Y26SE, X30XE, Y32SE'

So if I were to simply swap the clocks over would any Tech II calibration / programming be required?

I'm presuming not as the Rev counter and speedo surely work from the rear prop' ABS pulses (wheel speed) and fuel level and temp is standard across all petrol V6 models.

I would be very careful about this type of change.

Tell me more?

Judging by what EPC states it 'should' be the exact same panel as I already have in the car....

Just to add for anyone wondering! - The clock swap is because the rev counter is 'sticking' which is pretty integral to the whole instrument cluster assembly and the official VX line is 'replace the whole instrument cluster'.

The mileage difference between the two is less than 700 miles as it's the closest I could find after a long search.
