Rachel's just rung me.
Got Rachel's 16 yr old daughter in hosp at the mo,because she's had her tonsiles out & she's realy crap when she comes out of anesthesia.

But that's not the half of it, she also has a son who's 13, he's just fell of a wall & (close your eyes fella's) landed on his testicles. Lets say he's in A&E in a bad way she says he's covered in blood.
I just said i'm coming over, but like she says what can i do. Jeez the poor lad. I'm shaking as i type this.
I'm sat here feeling so helpless, what should i do??????

You can't do much for the little lass or lad, they are in the good hands of the medics... but you CAN do lots for "Rachel" .. she needs support, understanding, a shoulder to cry on, and words of encouragement.

So get over there , carefully .. better to arrive late than not at all ... and be her crutch .. :)

It's what we blokes do for our women .. :)

kids of their age seem to be fairly resilient.  Plenty of ice in his case, ice cream for her.

Wife and I have all this to come starting May!!!

 :)All you can do is be there. One of my exes used to get terrible tonsilitis on a regular basis. She was a tough girl & in 6 or 7 yrs with her this was the only thing that laid her up. I'd go up to check on her & could feel the heat off her face on mine but they would NOT remove her tonsils so your Mrs. must have gone through it bigstyle. AS for your lad, for once i won't make a silly joke. Bollix & blood aint funny.

Hi all. I've just got back, both are ok. Their both in for the night & so is Rachel. Gave me a right freight, when Rachel rang with the news of what had happened. Us guys know just how delicate our ????? are.
He was more concerned about having sumat to eat.
I think Rachel & i are more concerned than he is. He was more embarrased than owt else, because of the nurses, he wanted a male to have a look.
He's in for an opperation 1st thing.
Leanne's ok too, she was pretty straight forward, she's just groggy.
Thank you very much for all your posts, i realy appreciate them.
It's good to know your all there  :y
I'll keep you posted as to how they are.
Bed now, because i'm nak.

Oooohhhhh......nasty.

Did you know that they dont give anitbotics for Tonsilitus very often any more as it tends to be a viral infection and hence they have no effect!

I hope they are not in QMC, bloody awful place that is!

Wow... getting a good thump in the 'dangle berries' is probably the most painful thing in the world, but they're pretty resilient -- as anyone who had a "crunchie day" every Friday in primary school would remember -- you'd randomly get a boot in the sack just to commemorate it :D We can thank Cadbury's for that one!

Oh and crashing the pushbike was another favourite way to test out the crown jewels!

I'm sure they'll both be fine :y

and it hurt like hell if you wrapped them round the gear lever on your chopper (raliegh)  ;D

still makes me flinch 25 years on
