REar door wiring ? Routing and so on....
« on: 28 April 2009, 22:05:29 »

One of my rear doors central locking has died, and it now turns out not to be the motor thingy ! Tried 3 different ones and none work, yet all work on a bespoke external power supply....methinks wiring issue ?

So the courtesy light, electric window and speaker all work fine, yet the locking motor does not.....I figure a duff wire in the little bundle that come into the door ?

What I do not know, is how to 'tidily' get access to the wiring - assuming it comes down the pillar betwen front and rear doors - how does one neatly get access before it appears in the flexi-hose into the door ? Do the kick panel plastic bits come up easily ?

Wanted to get some pointers before performing minor surgery on a tidy interior !! Thanks in advance.....  ::)

Remove the rubber grommit where it enters the B post and you will find a multiway connector.

To be honest, the door loom is a doddle to swap so I would just change it.
