 I hope this is not a silly reply  have you press the bent arrow button at the bottom next to the flap were the cd magazine enter and not the CD BUTTON?

I'll stick to my single DIN CCRT700   on the few occasions I've wanted to remove it, it's been a doddle to remove!  

The true double din ones can be a right pig, stupid bloody design if you ask me....
