Facelift factory fitted alarm
« on: 18 August 2009, 22:09:41 »

Hi!

There is a great description about the keyfob types here:
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1216833667
And it says keyfob for cars with factory fitted alarm is working at 433Mhz (KIEKERT type) and  without is working at 433,92Mhz. My problem is I have no factory fitted alarm as I know (ok let's say I have no sensors in interior light, no alarm switch, no alarm horn in front of the car), but my keyfob is a KIEKERT type keyfob now, wihich is for factory fitted alarm cars according to the description.

I have an idea, can anybody says it's correct or not?
So perhaps I have a central controller unit for factory fitted alarm cars, but the system is not built fully. Today I've checked the controller and it's a KIEKERT  09146039 module. Is this the controller for factory fitted cars??Can anybody confirm it or check it?
Tx

I have seen Megamos fobs on cars with alarms and vice versa. Best way is to open the fob and check the PCB inside as people often swap the cases over when they crack.

Hi Kevin!

I check the actual fob and 433MHz has written into it.So I think it's a KIEKERT type totally.Am I right? So my central controller is for factory fitted alarm version?

Ok, then let's say there are something wrong with the content of this link:
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1216833667
or the link is correct (nobody mentioned any problem)just in our case the central controller unit is for factory fitted alarm cars, only the sensors, switches and alarm horn is not installed yet.

I would be grateful if somebody can tell me a central controller unit identifier for factory fittedalarm cars.Identifiers on mie are: 09146039 - 40505461000 - 3029
I was at Opel but they weren't on the top... :D

I think that the problem is that the referred link is to Vauxhall cars for UK market and you and I have Opel for Scandinavian/East European market. Some laws differ, so might be that the 433 frequency is for partially different purposes in GB and continental Europe...
