Other than the float switch in the expansion tank, is there any other sensors for the above

If that's the warning you're getting and the level is OK just get a new tank, around £30 from Vx

It's the float in the tank

all was ok until i drained it

Might just be stuck then ... stick your finger in and wiggle the float about .. might just free it off ..

tried that, got a feeling the bit that makes it float has come off as it dont seem to lift

You need a new header tank then. :-?
