Electric rear windows
« on: 11 March 2010, 14:00:00 »

Managed to get the drivers door loom in...hooray.
However, the rear electric windows are still inoperative.
There is power getting to the rear doors, and the new drivers door loom came from an Elite model, so is the correct one for electric rear windows. The loom in the drivers door is working, the central locking on that door works, and so does the mirror adjustment and the front two windows.
I've checked all fuses under the steering wheel, and all are intact.
In the facelifts drivers manual, it lists 35 fuses and only shows 34 in the diagram, however fuse 35 is 'Window lifter' I wonder if that could be it?
I'll try and post a copy of that page of the manaul, but it's circa page 184 I think.
I can't think of any other reason why it's not working...any ideas?

Are fuses 33 and 34 the larger sized ones? Are there contacts in the fuse 35 position?

Thanks for the link Andy  :y
Yep, fuses 33 and 34 are the larger type one's, and that's the problem...I can't see where 35 would go, on the diagram fuse 35 is not shown, but is listed  with the rest of the fuses in the list.

It's the slot to the right of fuse 34. Not fitted on my mini-f/l but I have rear windows. I'll have a look which fuses control which windows on mine :y

Cheers Lee, the problem is I just can't find fuse 35, it's not listed on the diagram on page 187 from the link Andy provided, and I've got a hard copy of the manual...and it's not in there. Next to fuse 34 is a blue socket, I'd guess that would be where the tech2 would be plugged in.
