Info display to MID?
« on: 17 March 2010, 23:11:09 »

In an ex police model I have, it has the two line Info display, is it possible to change that display for a MID? I'll be putting a CCR 2006 in, and would prefer a MID if possible, I guess it all depends on the plug I'd find once I take the dash clocks out?

it wont work, police ones have a yellow plug, normal ones have a grey plug.
unless you replace the entire lot with a satnav screen and a sat nav, but again , you need a new loom for that too.

there must be a way of doing it but never succeeded yet.

the earlier 94-00 shape screens out the police ones have the same connector, but then you get a fault with the "check oil, brakes, coolant, etc...." it goes cuckoo, as you have no secondary data

The check control, and fluid level sensors are missing.  Possible, but lot of work.

Facelift satnav may be easier, as you can disable check control.
