RADIO fuse missing ?
« on: 29 March 2010, 14:16:48 »

On checking my fuse box I notice Fuse no 6 is missing.
My radio still works fine. On further investigation, I tried to insert a fuse into the missing slot but it would appear there is no insert in there to hold the fuse in place (i.e it justs falls back out). I have an early model Omega...is there likely to be an inline fuse somewhere else for the Radio and is this normal?  Any ideas/comments?? I am puzzled !

thanks

My Phillips SC804 has a blade fuse in the back. It was blown when I got the car-easy fix!

Most OEM radios will have a fuse in the rear that only ever appears to blow if the car is jump started or battery replaced with the radio switched on.

Seldom blows if the radio is actually faulty
