Door Mirrors
« on: 16 April 2010, 18:30:26 »

Help - I can't seem to find a guide to stripping the door mirrors to replace faulty motors & heated glass.
Can someone tell me how?   :-/

Good pair of hyde gloves on the broken mirror and a short, sharp push in the bottom corner closest to the door and it should pop out, then unplug it.

In my experience, it's easier to respray the colour-coded part to match the car.  It's so easy to break several good glass sections fitting them into a mirror.  :-[

Doesn't the colour coded part pop off?

Yes the cover comes off easy enough, I forget where best to start though. I have an old mirror in the garage, I will have a look tomorrow.
