Last night I felt sorry for the guy, he spent 2 hours in the dark trying to get it right, But after seeing the state of the dash today there is just no reason for it.

Any way, its the weekend and I'm covering the office so Ive some thing new to moan about

UPDATE !!!

We the RAC offered me £500 and a years free membership and I can fix the car my self or they will pay to fix it but they dont want any thing more to do with and will remove the tracker, so I rang Slaters, the VX dealer who has the car at the moment and was told...

"Oh yeah mate, the dayglo monkey has well f**ked it, You need the wooden dash center section and the climate control unit & some other fittings he's knackered, you sat down ? comes to £890 + labour"

Called the RAC back...

"Thanks for your offer, but you can fix the car"

VX say I'll be lucky to get the car back this month as the parts are no where to be found in the UK :(

and just for shits and giggles I'm writing to the RAC and Norwich Union to vent my anger at the fact they have had the car in the care now longer than me  >:(

Hmm. I'd have taken the 500 quid personally, and got a climate unit from a scrapper. Depends how much time you've got to spend on it though.

What a bunch of muppets!

I think it's safe to say there won't be many OOF'ers dealing with them in future! :o

I though about it, but working on the idea that vauxhall have my dash board sat in the workshop and the car out side and there still looking for any more harm say's

"Leave it to some one else to warrnty the repair"

Besides, I know the RAC can afford it but I like to think that its stinging some hard some where

Hmm. You've got a point there. Not sure what a mess you'd inherit of VX got told to stuff it back together and give it back to you either.  :-/

Best let them reassemble what they have disassembled.
