Urk!  A little sunnier, but worse on all other accounts!  They say that you don't save money there no matter how much you make.  You certainly won't have a car, a parking spot was $500/mo 10 years ago.  I looked at working there once, but it made financial sense to take the other job even though the one there was 50% more plus bonuses!    

If you grow up in a large city then you can adapt to there, if not then no hope.  It is the most intense of all Western cities.  Great to visit though.  That said I couldn't live in the smoke either, people wound too tight.  I prefer places with a more balanced perspective on life, like Paris.
