Hello Johnny,the guy that do fixe's my car works for a main dealer , a very fussy guy that likes to do a good job. He's done a lot of work for me over the last few years,always first class and always gives me a loaner(Volvo C70 D5 this time very very nice) not always as cheap as I've like but reasonable.
The part cost was £68,VX cost was £84,I should have gone for the small extra cost,but was out of contact (no phone signal vanning on the banks of the river Wye in Herefordshire).
Was these prices compatible ,to your costing.

Hi Alfie, I think the crank sensor on my car was about £68 with the trade card, I've had two, because I thought the first one was kaputt when my car started playing up. So at least I've got a spare one now. It was simple to change with the guide provided on here:-

Hope you don't think I was telling you how to suck eggs mate, but crank sensor is a common problem on these cars and easily sorted on the V6's, wouldn't want you to waste more money than you have to

Hi,Johnny no offence taken,  it,s a lot better for me to let an expert do the job, usually things go tit,s up when I touch anything. If it can be broke,I will break it.
I could have done without the extra cost this week,as I hve to pay for 2 renewed passports,£77.50 each thats hurts right now.
