hi all

right i know this has been asked zillions of times but stupidly put wrong code in radio not once but 3 times    so at the moment i am getting 7 safe i now cant input a code, i know this means i have to leave ignition on for a period of time 
but the question is does the radio have to be switched on as well as the ignition being on??? and if so do i leave it displaying "safe" or "7 safe" or can radio be turned off and ignition left on ??

too many cars too many codes 

ok car now has ignition on and radio on diplaying safe,  will it revert back to 6 ----  or will i have to keep going back to it and go through the code input sequence ?
