MID not working properly
« on: 05 June 2011, 22:44:13 »

Had my headunit out today (was trying a Bose H/U to see if it worked) when I put it back in the lower half off the MID (which shows radio station etc.) is blank.
The top part which shows MPG etc. is working ok.
The clock is stuck at 00.00
The CD player and radio are working ok.
Any ideas ?
Tia.

Sounds like all 3 signals from radio are not getting to MID - check radio/mid fully seated, and no damage to the 3 wires controlling the communications between them.

I haven't got one at the moment (apart from the old, untested Avo)... The last one misbehaved for the last time about a year ago :-[ ::)

But I suppose I should get another really ;)

what kind of meter are we talking about here - may well be a collection of them at work. :-/
If its just the standard multimeter I have a cheapo one, but it seems to be losing some display segments......I wonder if theres a nice fluke going spare at work ?  :D
