Electric wing mirror fault
« on: 27 July 2011, 19:18:31 »

Got a fault on the drivers side, works on the up & down, won't work left to right. Pulled mirror to pieces doesn't seem like any wires loose unconnected, put back together still won't work.  >:(
If I flick the rocker to do the passenger mirror, up, down, left & right work fine so its not the joystick at fault. I'm a bit stumped!!!  :-/ :-/ :-/

Dodgy motor or the part of the pcb that controls L/R movement knacked. Have you tried disassembling switch and giving PCB a spray with switch cleaner

I think its gonna be dodgy motor, I've cleaned it all out looked at the switch that controls movement. I don't think its the directional controller as it works the other side fine in all directions. It did get a whack a while ago but there was no signs of damage at all....... til I went to adjust the thing :(
