Phew!
« on: 04 October 2011, 23:02:41 »

When you think about all the things that could go wrong on a 10-year-old car for the MOT, I think a fail on a worn track rod end isn't too bad eh?

Have to see how to fit one now  :)

Put some PlusGas on where the track rock end screws onto the track rod & let it soak in while you're reading up on it.  ;) ;) ;)

Crack the lock nut off from the track rod end, wind the TRE off leaving the lock nut where it is, screw your new TRE up to the lock nut, tighten the two up to each other and then at least get your tracking checked - geometry check would be better though.  :y :y
