Back home now after a scare last night... chest pain/dizziness/temperature .. phoned NHS Direct for advice .. next thing is paramedics attended and I was ambulanced to Acute Assessment Unit for cardiac checks.

Had loads of tests .. blood tests, X-rays, ECG's both resting and on a treadmill and some other odds and sods ... results just after lunchtime ... they don't know exactly what the problem was but it is NOT cardiac .... seems the old ticker is in pretty good shape after all :) ..... it took 20 minutes on the treadmill at silly inclinations and speeds anyway before the pulse hit 150 (just where do they get that target from?? ) .. but me calf muscles were giving me hell !!

Possible cause now thought to be esophageal spasms ... whatever they are ... but no medication or treatment .. just a "carry on as before, if it gets worse go to your GP" message....

Mrs E was a tad upset as you can expect but all looks OK now  :y :y :y :y

Good grief, you as well..... :o :o Me a week ago, Phil recently. Glad you are OK though, whatever the reason for the initial symptoms.... :y :y

My heart rate was 136 lying in bed, so no need for a treadmill, thankfully :D :D :D

I had a bit of a scare reading the first half of your post...I do hope it's a blip.
The mere thought of a treadmill made my heart rate increase...I'm glad I didn't have to do any steep inclinations  :D
Have a rest  :y
I'm in Bath atm, and pass through Swindon frequently...Mrs E and yourself would be more than welcome to join me for dinner one night somewhere nice.

autumn is a dangerous season.. sudden temperature drops and sudden increases makes changes in your arteries..

which forces heart to adapt its rate .. so its worth to be careful imo..
