Front end damage, think i was lucky.
« on: 18 October 2011, 19:06:23 »

Thats right folks, Olga the Omega decided to pick a fight with the rear end of a 16ton cattle truck while on the way to a job in north west wales and guess who won? not my Olga  :-\

I feel like a complete idiot as i was braking but just missjudged it completely, another 12" and i would have been ok BUT also think i was very lucky as the only bent bit of metal apart from the bonnet is the part behind the n/s eyebrow trim which i have pulled out no problem.

I got the 2x trims and a pair of head lights on there way from Steve at Omega spares, i got a new Black mesh grill coming from another ebay shop so all i need now is a bonnet preferably in Z282 Blue BUT as i dont have 250 posts i cant place a wanted add in the parts section of this forum.

Yes your absolutely right, its relatively untouched AND i should be more careful with her, im thinking about some EBC Yellow stuff pads for the front, i do carry some weight so front brakes with a "better" bite would be a good investment me thinks

May i recommend not going for yellow stuff then, just good old fashioned vauxhall (original) pads and discs and keep them well maintained :y

Things are moving on nicely, I got to say a HUGE thank you to Steve at http://www.omegaspareparts.com/ the service he offers is second to none, excellent parts fairly priced and dam fast delivery too, cheers Steve.

Got the new head lights into place this morning and every fixing hole lined up spot on so i can now relax as there isn't any more metal to bend/pull out.

As you can see the headlamp eyebrow trims are Grey

But not any more

There now Satin Black to match the Black mesh front grill i got coming, also to match the newly painted Satin Black wheels

The Black eye brow trims and Black wheels will also match the Black bonnet im collecting also from from Steve tomorrow, which will stay Black and have a little more sign writing on it, which is also all arranged, all being well it should all be done by tomorrow night.

I been planning on spraying the wheels for ages now as im always chasing keeping them looking presentable and also they wasn't in the best condition either so this solves two problems
