On the subject of Mercs
« on: 04 November 2011, 22:02:08 »

Last Saturday I had the displeasure of driving a Mercedes Viano around

It was a V6 Auto, sounded nice, and went very well, and the dash layout was good. The leather seats were very comfy, and the rear passenger area (pictured below) is very accomodating. This particular model had a fridge, fold out tables, 240v power...

Otherwise though - it was dire.

Considering it only had 17k on the clock, it handled like a pig on stilts. Yes, it's a van, I know it won't be great - but I compared to the VW transporter, the Merc was a much less inspiring drive... and doesn't like going around corners.

It also looked like it was eating the outside shoulders on the front tyres for breakfast  :D

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.
