Congrats Mr and Mrs Jimbob on your new purchase. It sounds like a pampered minter.... :y :y

When I was sorting out all the service history I was looking at how much I'd spent over the last 4.5 years in service, maintenance and repairs and it was a few grands worth IIRC!! :o

Not suprised!  Ive given the car a good check over today and found very little to do!

Ive fixed a tiny coolant leak where someone had used a cable tie instead of hose clip on the header tank. All filters look in good condition, will be changing the fuel and air filters, giving it an oil service, and new wiper blades all round, and a new glovebox handle.

All brake components seem fine, all ecu's are happy (codes logged in HID Ecu from when the sensor broke previously)  All in all, seems a well maintained car. Thanks again Bob :y :D

Now let me think, who changed the header tank for me..........ah yes, Jaime at the Essex meet last year. ::) ;D

I know this story well, recently parted with my Jaguar XJR 4,0 V8 Supercharged

Heartbreaking it was but as already said fuel is beyond a joke and this motor with its supercharged 4.0 V8 could quite easily be brought down to single numbers MPG wise  :-X. To much to with stand these days.
Least I have a up side a 3.2 Omega which next to the Jag seems like its doing 100 MPG  :y

If I put a cable tie on it (unlikely, as I never seem to have any ;D), I would have told you to get a proper clip.  That said, if it was at the Essex meet (sorry, I can't remember doing it  :-[), all bets are off, as that bloody Dundee is a *BAD* influence ::)

IIRC the clip pinged off and couldn't be found hence the cable tie and yes, you probably did tell me to get a proper clip but it got forgotten in the alcoholic haze over the rest of that weekend. ::) ;D Yep, that bloody Dundee is a bad influence! ;D
