Steel spare wheel sizes?
« on: 07 November 2011, 21:27:14 »

Quick Q.. I know that some spare wheels seem to come with 195/65R15 and some with 205/65R15 tyres on the steel wheels.. but does anyone know if the wheels are all the same, or whether there are two different widths of steel wheels to accommodate?

Looking at getting a set of four steel wheels off eBay since Tunnie seems to have snaffled the set off here ;) and I don't want to end up with two wheels of one size and two of another..  ;D

e.g.:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAUXHALL-OMEGA-OO-03-15-SPARE-WHEEL-AND-TYRE-/370442913533?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item56401e46fd#ht_905wt_940

and:

Ta muchly..

I have two or three 'undriven' on spares in my shed, I can't remember the sizes off the top of my head but they came from Omegas produced between '96 - '00.

I can check the width of them in the morning, if no-one replies sooner...

I've noticed that the V6's seem to have 195 spares, and the 2.2's have 205 spares which is odd.  :-\

I have both versions of Omega steels at home, so I can check on wheel widths tomorrow if Brikhead doesn't have any luck.

One other thing though... I wonder if other non-Omega steelies have a different offset, as with the normal wheels...  :-\

Both our V6 Elites have 15" steels with 205s (both only been on road for short period due to punctures)
