Border Controls or lack of them!
« on: 10 November 2011, 11:24:09 »

It beggars belief that we appear to have compromised our border controls in order to save money?

Couldn't we second some of our soldiers to help out if we have to run it on a shoestring? Good interpersonal skills development opportunity ( soldiering isn't just about killing or be killed).

Will Theresa May survive this?

Its a storm in a teacup compared to what the previous lot did, deliberately and cynically. If Theresa May is telling the truth she has nothing to worry about. If shes lying, shes toast and rightly so.
Imo the Tories should have the guts to put up a "no room at the inn" sign on the UK. Tell everyone who it may concern that the country is chronically overcrowded and infrastructure stretched beyond breaking point, therefore it is highly unlikely anyone who wants to will be allowed to come and live in the UK in the foreseeable future.

Looking at this from the historical standpoint, few ministers resign – even though many are wholly unqualified to hold the post – unless visible blood has been spilt and their grubby hands have been stained by it.

Ms May has plenty of scope to rest in the comfort of obfuscation and parliamentary bluster whilst her dainty digits point elsewhere in a determined effort to seek out any culprit not bearing the name of Teresa May.

However, before any of the readership should show untoward concern for the future of Mr Clark (former head of the Agency) – and, despite the ignominy of his dismissal, it has been suggested by some in the MSM that his pain will be greatly eased by a pay-out of not insubstantial proportions.

Great Britain – world leader in that very busy industry which provides a handsome financial reward for failed executives.

How true. If there is no payout then it is promotion.

Mrs Varche brought a slow cooker back from England in her carry on luggage. It was packed with half pound bags of spices that aren't easy to get here.

She was shocked to see the x ray show up all the little parcels and the wiring in the base.

The security guard didn't bat an eyelid or ask for it to be opened!
