I'm no biblebasher by any stretch of the imagination, but have you noticed the slow but sure removal; of 'Christ' from 'Christmas' everywhere you go in this benighted not so pleasant any more land of ours? >:(

Yes Phil it's all about inclusion if we're to believe what we're told - I put it down to gutlessness and surrender to the whims of others but then, I’m a cynical old bastid who doesn’t really like some trendy get trying to tell me, through legislation, what I should be doing for the ‘good’ of others.

As we head into December, the following post subject lines are odds-on to appear (they have every year for the past 5!):

1) How do you drive in the snow?

2) Bah, Christmas humbug

Any others?

 ;) ;)

..and of course the old chestnut of the New Year Resolution.

Please, "No!" I say. Thrice "No!".

If you want to change something in your life, do it privately, without the fanfare, on 27th December. You don't have to wait until 00:01 on 1st January, you know.   ;) ;) ;D

When you need to feed the family, a turkey can be too large and a chicken too small. There again, if one is having Christmas dinner alone, it may be worth seeking out the smallest one.  ;) ;D ;D
