Nissan Micra Cam Chain Replacement....
« on: 08 December 2011, 17:52:58 »

If you ever think about doing one, have a look at yourself in the mirror, then give yourself a slap  ;D

What a ball ache. I ended up dropping the engine & gearbox out, removed the gearbox to enable me to remove the sump casting. To do the actual Cam Chain is easy just crazy that everything needs removing to do it.
The car has less than 50,000 miles on it.... Apparently the early K12 engines had problems with the chain tensioner..

Its normal to replace the chain then find that there's no front crossmember left, don't ask me why I say that :-X
