tesco security strike again.....
« on: 09 December 2011, 01:33:43 »

just read this from a colleague of mine.....

Quote
I went in with my hood up thinking nowt of it as its bloody cold.

I get screamed at across the shop everyone looks, by the security manager who is not even SIA licensed ''take your hood down''

I sighed and choose to have selective hearing thinking F OFF with my Lee Evans voice.
Apon paying for my goods after observing many Burka wearing people on the way to the tills I was pounced on!

The very large security manager tried to grab all my shopping and stop me buying my goods!
He said'' you are lucky you have paid or I would have refused to allow you to shop here''
''I told you to take your hood off''

I paused and smiled and said very loudly ''f me mate I know your a big boy but you'll find no doughnuts in there its all semi skimmed'' ''I am a 39 year old man and you think its acceptable to dictate to me what I can or cannot wear and insult my self identity because IM a white man wearing a hood''
I said ''you are being prejudice towards me''
He said'' its for our customers security''
I laughed and said''so a white man wearing a hoodie is a threat to your customers security with my face clearly visable but someone wearing a Burka dont fit into Tesco's stereotype?''
He said ''I am now going to escort you out of the shop wearing a Burka is religious''

I said ''you are being pathetic mate if you touch me I will defend myself you are clearly ignorant of your claims the Burka has nowt to do with religion and I bought the hoodie here''

I said '' the only threat to security is your lack of respect pal you could have spoken to me nicely and quietly and requested I took my hood off to make you feel better and I would have said no''
''YOUR BARRED''
Yeah F you I'll shop in Asda instead.
Hmmm dont I feel like a proper goon excuse the rant.

i can't quite believe it, but i know the guy.....    he says it happened,  then it damn well happened.

By acquiescing (either passively or actively or indeed with complete disinterest) to the rise the private security officer - across the board – and by allowing private enterprise to stick its nose into the provision of security on the back of questionable legislation drafted by both local and national government, we have woven the material for this hair shirt that we all will be obliged to wear from now on - unless we start to question the activities of such individuals (and commercial concerns) and put them on the spot every time they try to assert their authority in this way.

Everyone should know their rights and should make the decision not take this type of shit from anyone – especially those who are charged to ‘protect’ us.

It's indicative of how far many in this country have fallen from good commonsense and how they are only too eager to make up for this by (on the back of such legislation, much of it quite unnecessary ) the application of oppressive measures to quash any objections to them.

Of course it is very important that we should remain calm, collected and confident when we are faced with such stupid conduct.

I dealt with a, er, customer the other day. A gentleman then came up to me, a fairly big lad, and went "oh, thanks for dealing with him. I'm security in Tesco's and he's always giving me grief". Why go into security if you're not willing to deal with the hard of morality?

I am puzzled because all security guards are now supposed to be in compliance with the requirement of being trained and registered before ANY employment. Maybe you should read this and follow my example.......
Just had a do like that in Sainsbury's where the recently appointed idiot petrol station night manager (an ethnic pratt) decided that he would demonstrate his authority and very agreessively verbally banned me to show off his authority in front of his counter collegue (a nice Indian lady who has served me for years without any problems at all). He insisted I was speeding at under 10mph which I was obviously not and to which their security camera system fully supported me. He tried to withold my Nectar Card but when I started to ring the police to report the theft he threw it back at me.
If he had tried this one on with a much less experienced person he might have got away with it but being who I am I opted to excercise my rights and made a formal complaint to both the Head Office of Sainsbury's and to the superstore manager himself.
Conclusion - This is now under a full investigation and that jumped up little twerp is being called before the managerial board to explain his actions whilst I have just received a £50.00 thank you from them by way of a gift card for bringing his attitude towards customers to their attention.
Apparently as he had not followed through with a written notification because he knew that he had no sustainable proof and that he had also overstepped his authority he is now in the deep pappy.
Hope he loses his job and it spoils his Xmas.
Its marvellous to see his face when I now go in, fill up, dodge about in the queue just to make sure I am served by him while he is still there.
The Indian lady who usually serves me simply turns her head away and gives a little grin at his discomfort......... ;D ;D ;D
