Compared to all the messing about jacking it up, draining the old oil(why isn't there a drain plug? It isn't a Ford!), putting it all back together and cleaning up afterwards, I took advantage of our staff labour rate.
The apprentice got to 'enjoy' the job.
£15 well spent!

It's much better now; the gearshifts are much smoother.

Unfortunately for you, I can only get that rate for my own car; not even other family ones.

I don't particularly like not doing my own work, but this is a job that I just couldn't face.

i did this couple of months back as mine went into limp mod when cold then cleared itself when hot ,i found large sump ok to get off but small sump covered me in oil as still had alot of oil in and was well stuck,it turned out she,d never been done and had covered 140.000 funny as it had service record covering everything, one thing i did was getting a fence paint pump sprayer from bq removed lance this is very good to pump atf fluid back in to transmission, local vx dealer reckoned every 70.000 for fluid, glad i got a filter as mine was gunged right up now smooth as silk.took me an hour but i borrowed a ramp to old to lay on the ground these days. ;D

Easy enough, but messy job.
remove both sumps,
clean / replace filter
clean mating faces, reassemble with new gaskets, or pref instant gasket
refill with new ATF
Shower, many, many times to get rid if the stuff.

about every 60000, but according to VX...sealed for life!

needs doing to improve smoothness of box really.

Unless it being used as a cab for example, then vx recommend 100k. :y
